After obtaining his dental degree, Dr. Tyler M. Wilson began a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. His specialty training involved comprehensive experience in trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, TMJ, dental implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, and orthognathic surgery. He received his specialist certificate in 2008 and entered private practice in Santa Maria, where he specializes in dentoalveolar surgery, implants, bone grafting, and oral and maxillofacial pathology.
Dr. Wilson and his wife Susie are pleased to be settled on the Central Coast with their four young children. He is a diplomate of the Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Wilson is on staff at Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Central Coast Dental Society.
To become board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Wilson completed an intensive application and examination process. After providing evidence of exemplary experience in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Wilson was required to pass both a written and qualifying examination and a rigorous oral certifying examination. Diplomates keep their competency current by continuing their education and are recertified every ten years by a comprehensive examination.

Dena started with Wilson Oral Surgery in 2013 as a Treatment Coordinator. Dena has been a huge asset by bringing her previous 18 years of OB/GYN medical experience with her. She now sees patients that she once served during their pregnancies, bringing their babies — now teenagers — in for their wisdom teeth surgeries. Dena enjoys being a team player and helping our patients meet their dental needs. In her time away from our office, she enjoys spending time with her family, going for hikes, and playing with all her nieces and nephews.
Lauren Padilla started her career in oral surgery by handling front office duties and sharpening her ability to multi-task. Her curiosity about surgical assisting peaked in 2016 when she transferred to the back office, and she has never looked back! She is now our lead surgical assistant and implant coordinator. Lauren strives to make patients feel comfortable and at ease in our office. A native of the Central Coast, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and two children soaking up the sun at the lake.
Stevi has proven herself as a true asset to our practice. She received on-the-job training to become a surgical assistant and dental x-ray technician. When away from the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Celiena is an oral surgery assistant who initially started in the field as a sterilization technician in 2021. In 2021 Natalie stumbled across her oral surgery assistant career after hearing about this field through her best friend. On her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her boyfriend & family; at the beach, on hikes, or runs.
