Overall my procedure was excellent. I had an existing painful tooth. Dr. Wilson preform an extraction of the non-repairable tooth. There was virtually zero discomfort during the procedure and only minor pain after the procedure. I took a small dose of a relaxer before the procedure which did require another driver to get me home. Thank you Dr Wilson and staff.

I had an unexpected dental emergency and my dentist called Wilson Oral Surgery to determine if they could see me. I was surprised when they agreed to see me in 25 minutes to perform a tooth extraction and prep me for a implant. I arrived and was warmly greeted by staff at the desk. I completed paperwork and was taken into the consultation/initial exam. The technician was friendly and made sure to answer any questions or concerns I had. I met with Dr. Wilson for an exam. Dr. Wilson is attentive, engaging and compassionate. I then met with office personnel who thoughtfully explained insurance and payment. Staff in the surgery room were excellent, they listened to my concerns and relayed them to the doctor as soon as he entered the surgery room. Being "heard" was much appreciated! Surgical staff were also aware of my issues with vertigo and made sure to recline me with care. The surgical staff and doctor explained everything, including what I might feel and hear during the procedure. Once the procedure started they thoughtfully explained what was happening, reassured me and made sure I was comfortable. The procedure was relatively quick and painless! I was provided informative aftercare instructions, and Dr. Wilson's staff contacted me the next day to check on me. Happy to report no pain or swelling after my procedure. I'm extremely impressed with how they worked me into their busy practice on very short notice, the level of professionalism, and the attentive and compassionate care I received from every person I interacted with. I am still amazed at the excellent service of the Wilson Oral Surgery staff in Santa Maria. There is an old school way of doing business that is lost for most establishments in this town. They recognize and greet you by first name as soon as you walk in the door. They schedule appropriately, providing a minimum amount of wait time for your appointment. From the staff to the provider, you will find they are professional, highly educated, hygienic, and courteous with genuine care. Over the years I have been seen by Dr. Slaughter, Dr. Humes and Dr. Wilson. There is a consistent standard amongst them that is higher than other doctors in this area. They showed concern and care with the anxiety I experience associated with mistreatment from other dentists. With only Dr. Wilson available now, he performed my surgery. The treatment plan was comprehensively explained. There was very little pain after the removal of six of my bottom back teeth. The healing process has been faster than I expected. I will need two more procedures to achieve my goal, which I have comforting faith will be a success. I highly recommend him and trust this office will take care with your concerns and needs, just as they have mine.

My experience with Wilson Oral Surgery was great from start to finish. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and my OB is confident my baby will arrive early so WOS was very accommodating to get me in quickly to have my broken wisdom tooth extracted. The staff was always kind and helpful and Dr. Wilson is excellent. He was very considerate of my pregnancy and took certain precautions with type of anesthetic so as not to increase mine or my baby's heart rate. The tooth, thankfully, came out very quickly and I haven't had hardly any pain at all! Very relieved to have it out, so I can focus on baby coming!! Definitely recommend Dr. Wilson and his office.

Not impressed Had an appointment at 1:15 they rescheduled us the day before for 3:15. We are now told it will be a longer wait because they are behind schedule. Our 12 year old is being seen here and his twin brother had to come with us., (Due to hubby being deployed.)they have me going to the room with our scheduled son because he is 12 but making us leave his twin brother to wait out of the office or in the car because he doesn't have an appointment. Makes no sense they want me to leave his 12 yr old brother out of the office alone but yet make me go to the back with the scheduled son because he is 12. 🤦🤦 Seriously makes no sense. I find it more dangerous leaving our son out of the medical office unsupervised especially in Cali where human trafficking is at an all time high. 😩😩🤦🤦🤷 Fingers crossed the Ortho doctor is better educated than his secretarial staff. If I could give 0 stars for the office secretary I would but Google reviews makes you choose at least 1 star. Also note * we all have masks on..washed hands. No temps. It should not be an issue allowing his twin to accompany us if they won't allow me to send his brother in alone. ** The doctor and his assistant were excellent! I REGRET THAT I DID NOT HAVE THE COURAGE TO SAY THAT BEFORE THE NUMBING BEGAN. I BELIEVE THAT BECAUSE I WSA WEARING MY MOUTH GUARD FOR 2 NIGHTS PREVIOUS, MY TEETH (TOOTH) WAS NOT SORE. YOUR OFFICE DID NOTHING WRONG. AND I APPRECIATED DR SLAUGHTER'S PATIENCE!

Excellent service. Great equipment which makes dental x-rays a breeze. They send out text notification for appointments reminders. Staff was also excellent especially with getting an accurate estimate and working with my insurance company. Very FAST service overall. Would definitely go again (hopefully won't need to) and I would feel comfortable recommending it to my friends.

Dr. Wilson allowed me to be participant in the process of treating my tooth extraction plan. I liked the way he explained so much to me of the difficulties and the procedure. The root of the tooth goes into my left sinus. Prolia has to ahve been given 6 months before to prevent prolonged bleeding. Thanks.

I hope Dr. WILSON and his staff read this !!!! I think Dr. WILSON is one of the best doctors/dentists who has ever treated me in my entire lifetime and I will b 66 on 11/11/2018. U can tell he really cares about his patients cuz he asks how I am feeling & actually waits & listens to my response all the while he looks me in the eyes. He does not act so busy as if I am wasting his precious time. I happen to know that this is quite rare for medical professionals these days because approx. 2 weeks after my oral surgery w/ Wilson I had another surgery & this surgeon moved, talked & reacted so quickly that it made me nervous & uncomfortable & scared. This surgeon had a much larger support team but somehow I felt like I was just another patient in a long line of scheduled surgeries. Dr. Wilson called me himself and also one of his staff following my procedure to "check in on me ". WOW ! THAT IS A VERY KIND & CONSIDERATE THING TO DO. OF COARSE NO PHONE CALL FROM THE OTHER SURGEON NOR ANY OF HIS STAFF. The pre-op instructions from the other surgeon included 4 simple things: 1. Hav responsible adult pick up after surgery. 2. Wear short sleeves & comfortable clothing. 3. Bring pillow to elevate arm following surgery. 4. Directions to surgicenter (map & written directions) which I found most helpful. But nothing about not eating/drinking b4 procedure which I knew I had to do from Dr. WILSON'S PRE-OP INSTRUCTIONS. I TOLD THE RECEPTIONIST AT THE OTHER OFFICE THAT PRE-OP INSTRUCTIONS WERE MINIMAL & SHE SAID MANY PATIENTS TELL HER THAT. HELLO ? THEN WHY NOT CHANGE THEM. WHEN I WENT IN FOR THE SURGERY THEY ASKED ME WHEN IT WAS THAT I last ate. What wld hav happened if I said 3 hours ago? SHEEZ!!! And the final thing Dr. WILSON DID WHICH I really appreciated was explain all of my options. Now how many times has a physician/dentist done this for you ? Very knowledgeable, organized, positive and great sense of humor-all things that helped me feel relaxed and comfortable. And his staff fills in just where needed. I highly recommend Dr. WILSON to anyone requiring oral surgery. I NEVER KNEW I CLD MAIL MY FILLINGS & RECEIVE CASH. AND I HAV HAD MANY MANY MANY FILLINGS THROUGHOUT MY LIFETIME. THAT WAS A BONUS BONUS BONUS. IT FELT LIKE I HIT THE JACKPOT. THANKS DOCTOR & TEAM! I REALLY APPRECIATE HOW COMFORTABLE YOU MADE ME FEEL.

I couldn’t say enough good things about this office. Getting your wisdom teeth out is not something that anyone (that I’ve ever met) looks forward to. I got mine taken out Friday by Dr. Slaughter. I was beyond nervous. They had a way of putting me at ease. They put me under and I don’t remember a thing from the whole surgery. I woke up and fell back asleep the whole way home. I got a phone call from him Friday night just checking in on me. I was so impressed and so touched that the doctor takes the time out of his night to check on his patients like that. I’m slowing getting better, I’ll be back to work tomorrow and I’m so grateful for such a great office staff and such a pleasant experience. Everybody at the office from the front desk to the surgeon (I saw Dr. Wilson) was phenomenal. Friendly, efficient, reassuring, thorough...within five minutes I knew I was in very good hands. Five stars is not enough! There were two impacted wisdom teeth (the other two never developed at all) to be taken out. According to my ride, they were done in under an hour!
